The successful candidate
will value and uphold rigorous food safety standards while receiving, preparing, and serving food, as well as when maintaining nutrition spaces. . Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch and snack. Set menus for breakfast, lunch and snack with support from the divisional nutrition programming coordinator and Child Nutrition Council of Manitoba. Maintain nutrition facilities such as kitchens, food and supply storage areas and eating rooms daily in accordance with public health guidelines for food handling establishments. Manage food and supply ordering and receive and verify deliveries in accordance with safe food handling procedures. Plan purchases within set budgets, track program expenses incurred throughout school year, and maintain food and supply purchasing records.
