Position Overview
As a Foreman, you play a critical role in advancing strategic infrastructure initiatives across Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. These projects support the development of AI data centers, enhance energy reliability, and strengthen community resilience. Working in close coordination with both the Infrastructure and Power groups, your responsibilities include overseeing site preparation, grading operations, and ensuring that foundational work aligns with utility infrastructure requirements.
Your expertise directly contributes to the success of high-impact efforts such as expanding data center capacity, reinforcing flood protection systems, enabling large-scale energy delivery and supporting community-focused infrastructure. Through precise execution and collaboration, you help lay the groundwork for future-ready infrastructure across the South-Central region.
District Overview
Kiewit's South Central District is one of Kiewit's leading infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, transportation, and water resource markets. Projects you could be working on could include mass grading, drainage, paving, utility and more. Although most of our work is regionally based in the south-central region of the United States, we also pursue various projects stretching across the United States. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry as opposed to design.

Responsibilities
• Direct supervisor Wall crew
• Display mathematical ability to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
• Read, understand and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Plan and execute the assigned work in accordance with those policies and procedures
• Read, understand and produce work from blueprints and drawings
• Objectively analyze the work of coworkers and subordinates and effectively communicate improvement objectives. Initiate disciplinary measures when appropriate
• Identify areas of improvement and cost-savings and communicate to superintendents
• Listen to directions and suggestions from employees and management regarding safe and proper work practices
• Take necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Understand and respond to all safety hazards, manage work crews safely
• Produce quality work meeting company and industry standards
• Must be able to perform general tasks and required skills such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling motions as identified for the position
Qualifications
• Ten years of experience in construction is preferred, preferably civil infrastructure-related projects
• Previous experience working as a Foreman
• Experience leading a crew and skills in trade or craft
• Must understand verbal and written instructions and safety rules and be able to read safety signs and warnings
• Knowledgeable in the areas of dirt work, including excavation, grade work, surveying and final excavating work
• Must be capable of reading and producing work from blueprints and drawings
• Knowledge of operating various craft tools
• Knowledge of equipment rigging is essential, and all types of heavy equipment for dirt and site projects
