Key Responsibilities
- Teaching: Deliver lectures, develop course materials (including online/tech), grade assignments, and lead discussions in psychology topics.
- Research: Maintain an active research agenda, publish in peer-reviewed journals, present at conferences, and potentially run a research lab.
- Mentorship & Advising: Guide undergraduate and graduate students academically and career-wise, potentially supervising theses or clinical work if licensed.
- Service: Participate in departmental meetings, university committees, student recruitment, and community outreach.
- Funding: Seek and secure external grants to support research activities.
Typical Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. in Psychology is often require and Master's degrees might be considered for some roles.
- Experience: Demonstrated research potential, teaching experience, and strong communication/interpersonal skills.
- Specialization: Background in a specific area (e.g., clinical, cognitive, developmental) to teach related courses.
