Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Obtain copy of production schedule/shipping order and transport material to and from designated areas in the facility
- Load and unload goods
- Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
- Stack goods in the correct storage bays while following inventory control instructions
- Check that loads are secure
- Stack empty pallets
- Perform daily equipment checks and maintain equipment
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
- Dump materials into machine hoppers
- May be required to use RF scanner gun
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification per OSHA standards
- Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must be able to execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
- Often work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
