Founding Account Executive (DACH) – High-Growth AI EdTech Location: Berlin (Mitte) | Hybrid

EQL Edtech is currently partnering with one of the world’s fastest-growing and most celebrated AI-powered math platforms. We have been exclusively retained to build their founding commercial team in Germany.

Our client is tackling a massive global challenge: math underperformance. By using proprietary AI to turn handwritten solutions into digital insights, they empower teachers to focus on creativity and deeper learning. They are already the go-to solution in thousands of schools globally - and now, they are launching in Germany.

This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground level. We are looking for a Founding Account Executive to define how this market is won. If you want to build a region from scratch, act as an owner, and help millions of students unlock their potential, this is your role.

The Role This is a high-impact, autonomous sales role based in Berlin. You won't just be following a playbook; you will be figuring out the best way to bring a world-class product to German classrooms.

  • Full-Cycle Ownership: You will own the process from "cold" to "closed." You will source new leads and close deals with schools, private school networks, and Schulträger (school authorities) across the federal states.
  • Consultative Multi-Threading: You will navigate sales cycles of ~2 months, building relationships with multiple stakeholders - from School Leadership (Schulleitung) and Math Department Heads to municipal decision-makers.
  • Market Presence: You will represent the brand at key trade shows (e.g., Didacta, Learntec) and networking events, turning conversations into meaningful pipeline.
  • Strategic Feedback: You will act as the "voice of the German customer," collaborating with Product and Success teams to refine the solution for the local market.
  • Operational Mindset: You will help transplant the client’s energetic, "act as an owner" culture into the new German operations. If you see something broken, you fix it.

Requirements

Who You Are To succeed here, you need an entrepreneurial mindset. You are comfortable with the ambiguity of a market launch and aren't afraid to pick up the phone.

  • Language Skills: You have Native-level German and fluent English (C1/C2). This is non-negotiable.
  • Sales DNA: You have 2-3 years of experience in B2B sales (SaaS or EdTech). You are a "hunter" who is disciplined, competitive, and driven by targets.
  • Fearless: You are not afraid of cold outreach. You operate with urgency and bring solutions to the table before being asked.
  • The "EdTech" Factor: Experience selling to the German public sector or education system is a massive plus. You must care deeply about public education and believe math is a gateway to opportunity.
  • Coachable: You are curious, eager to learn, and always striving to improve your craft.
