Founding AI / Backend Engineer (f/m/x) - We are looking for a Founding AI / Backend Engineer (f/m/x) to start immediately for our client, a company based in the Berlin area.

For this position, the employee in question will work directly for our client. The support, placement and all of our additional services are free of charge for you as the applicant.

You have the opportunity to work in the position (partially) from your home office.

    • Your Responsibilities as Founding AI / Backend Engineer (f/m/x)

  • Design and implement agent-based backend systems end-to-end, from architecture to production
  • Build and operate distributed Python services (FastAPI) with strong reliability and observability
  • Develop guardrails, orchestration, and recovery mechanisms for LLM-powered workflows
  • Take ownership across the full lifecycle: concept, build, deploy, monitor, improve

    • Your Qualification and Skills

  • Strong backend engineer (f/m/x) with deep Python experience and system-level thinking
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, agentic systems, or AI orchestration in real-world setups
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving startup environments with high responsibility
  • Motivation to trade short-term certainty for long-term impact and ownership
