We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer at Valeria (Barcelona / Hybrid / Remote)

Valeria is building the future of HR and payroll in Spain. Our AI-powered platform automates contracts, payroll, and compliance with Spanish labor regulations — making life easier for both companies and employees. We’re a fast‑growing startup backed by top investors, on a mission to disrupt a €5B+ industry that is still largely manual and outdated.

The role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be a key player in shaping our software solutions, directly impacting the experience of our customers and their employees. You’ll take full ownership of new features (from architecture to deployment), work closely with Product and Founders, and help set best practices in a small, fast‑moving team.

✨ What we’re looking for
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Python skills (other languages valued)
  • Solid experience with relational databases
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
  • Passion for building high‑quality, scalable systems
