Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Apply expertise in foundry metallurgy and quality control, preferably in Al alloy casting facilities.
- Perform gating design, methoding, and microstructural evaluation of cast alloys.
- Conduct mechanical testing and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Carry out radiography testing (ASNT certification required).
- Operate and manage laboratory equipment including:
- Optical microscope
- Hardness tester
- Sample preparation tools (cutting, mounting)
- Universal Testing Machine (UTM)
- Document and report findings with precision and clarity.
Desired Qualifications
- 3–6 years of relevant industry experience in foundry metallurgy.
- Strong background in Al alloy casting processes.
- Hands on expertise with optical microscopy, hardness testing, UTM, and sample preparation.
- ASNT certification in radiography testing.
- Good to have exposure to advanced characterization techniques:
- SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy)
- EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy)
- EBSD (Electron Backscatter Diffraction)
