BAE Systems San Diego Maritime Solutions is searching for a Financial Analyst Principle to join our dynamic team. Serve as the strategic advisor and business partner to the Ship Repair Finance Director and Cost Manager. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial updates including the development of flash reporting and present to senior leadership. Lead annual and multi-year financial plans. Analyze revenue and profitability drivers and create forecast models to drive business decisions. Responsible for cash flow management, ensuring timely/accurate invoicing while leading a team of program billing analysts. Develop and track indirect budgets monthly and conduct routine evaluation of indirect yearly expenditure estimates. Track and manage capital expenditures. This individual needs to be a self-starter with the ability to influence multi-functional team members.
Gathers data, analyzes and prepares financial reports to management. May monitor business performance by unit, division or brand. May run valuation models and manages financial analyses associated with mergers, acquisition and disposal processes. Analyzes financial performance, including comparison of actual results against planned results.
As a Financial Analyst Principal, you will:
+ Perform financial analysis for the San Diego Maritime Solutions facility
+ Assist in the update of the quarterly financial metrics reporting and forecasts to include consolidation of portfolio financials
+ Support in the development of AOP, QBR, & IBP financial forecasts
+ Monitor and report on bi-weekly and monthly invoices for multiple programs of varying contract types and payment terms
+ Assist in cash management including weekly forecasting and business area reporting
+ Work with DFAS and customer program office to accelerate cash receipts
+ Support in the review of monthly EACs, identifying salient risks and opportunities
+ Assist in weekly sales/revenue forecasting for Ship Yard senior leadership
+ Monitor and facilitate capital expenditures and local capital projects
+ Position is 9/80 schedule and may be hybrid
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related degree with 6 years of experience. Work experience considered in lieu of formal degree.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
+ Experience in program finance and/or other finance functional disciplines particularly in the management of large government acquisition contracts
+ Experience in Cost Point, SAP, or other enterprise accounting systems
+ Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills
+ Demonstrated ability to communicate and present financial data to other functions in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner
+ Strong interpersonal skills to influence diverse work teams
+ Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast paced environment
+ Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Graduate Degree a plus
+ Experience with Hyperion
+ Strong understanding of the Government acquisition and contractor proposal processes
+ Experience with project forecasting and analysis, particularly in a US Defense environment a plus
+ Understanding and knowledge industry practices and standards as well as company policies
+ Understanding of rates and rate development
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $101398 - $172377
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
