Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Develop FPGA designs from system requirements, ensuring compliance with DO 254 DAL A/B projects.
- Capture device level requirements from system/hardware specifications and define FPGA design architecture.
- Perform re engineering and obsolescence management for FPGA components.
- Write, review, and implement VHDL RTL code for FPGAs (Microchip, Client/Altera, Xilinx).
- Conduct synthesis, place & route, and timing analysis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design and verification issues to deliver robust solutions.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams for seamless integration and delivery.
< Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, VLSI, or related discipline.
- 6–9 years of hands on experience in RTL coding (VHDL) and FPGA design tools.
- Strong command of design flows: lint, CDC, synthesis, place & route, static timing analysis.
- Experience with standard interfaces: PCIe, ARINC 429, MIL 1553, ARINC 818, SPI, AXI, Client.
- Expertise in requirements capture, architecture definition, and complex design implementation.
- Solid understanding of DO 254 and DO 160 standards (DO 254 experience preferred).
- Familiarity with DOORS or similar requirement management tools (advantage).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Perl, Python, Shell) is a plus.
- Exceptional problem solving and debugging skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment and mentor junior engineers when required.
