Job Description
The position requires expertise in FPGA and digital microelectronics design, including specification, architecture, implementation, and verification of digital hardware. Responsibilities include:
- Developing FPGA IP cores, ASICs, and SoCs for space and defense programs.
- Performing RTL-level design and verification using VHDL/Verilog.
- Modeling and simulating digital circuits for optimization.
- Planning and executing FPGA prototype testing and debugging.
- Collaborating with software and validation teams for integration and qualification.
- Preparing technical documentation and supporting design reviews.
- Occasionally traveling for project meetings and lab work.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or Physics advanced degrees are a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in FPGA/digital hardware design, preferably in aerospace or defense.
- Strong skills in HDL design (VHDL/Verilog), FPGA tools (e.g., Xilinx Vivado), and verification methodologies.
- Knowledge of SoC architectures (ARM, RISC-V), DSP techniques, and high-speed interfaces.
- Proficiency in English and adaptability to a fast-paced, multinational environment.
- Additional experience in ASIC design, hardware security, CI/CD automation, and radiation mitigation for space applications is highly valued.
