Looking ahead to 2026, we are currently seeking an independent Contract & Claims Specialist (EPCI / Offshore DC Projects) (m/f/d) to contribute to a high-profile infrastructure project.

This freelance assignment offers the opportunity to provide commercial and contractual expertise on a complex, large-scale infrastructure project based in Germany.


Key Responsibilities




  • Manage commercial, contractual, and claims-related matters across the full project lifecycle




  • Evaluate, prepare, and negotiate claims, change orders, and contractual adjustments with contractors




  • Assist with contract administration tasks such as milestone tracking, invoicing, and commercial reporting




  • Prepare and oversee formal contractual communication with suppliers and internal project teams




  • Track claims, performance indicators, and financial data in structured reporting tools




  • Support the project leadership team with claims prevention strategies and negotiation planning




  • Participate in negotiations, workshops, and coordination meetings with external partners and internal stakeholders




Candidate Profile




  • Solid freelance background in contract and claims management, preferably within major infrastructure, offshore, or #HVDC environments




  • In-depth understanding of EPCI contracting models and international contract frameworks




  • Hands-on experience with English-language contracts subject to German law (knowledge of FIDIC is advantageous)




  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused approach to work




  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation capabilities




  • Professional fluency in both German and English (C1 level)

  • 📍 Work Location: Germany, with largely remote working and occasional travel (~10%)
