Freelance Software Engineer

Role: Fullstack Engineer (Backend‑Oriented Focus)
Location: Helsinki (1 day per week on-site)
Duration: 12 months (extension options available)
Employment type: Full-time (160 hours /pm)

Note: Must be able to work on-site in Helsinki
Responsibilities:
Build and evolve personalisation microservices and APIs
Integrate backend systems with AWS
Implement tracking, consent, and data‑quality practices
Design and optimise modern, high‑load APIs for performance and resilience
Requirements:
Strong backend engineering skills using or Java/Spring
Experience with AWS and microservices architectures
Solid REST API design and implementation experience
Knowledge of observability and monitoring best practices (logging, metrics, alerting)
Bonus points for:
Salesforce ecosystem familiarity
Recommendation systems or personalisation engine experience
Experience with their tech stack: AWS CDK, Docker, Angular
