Front End Engineer

About the Role

A leading global financial institution is hiring multiple front-end developers to support trading and market technology initiatives. These roles span associate through vice president levels, with long-term contract options available. The team is expanding to modernize trading platforms, enhance user experience, and integrate data from pricing and risk systems.

What You’ll Tackle

• Build and optimize front-end applications for real-time trading and analytics

• Partner with traders and quants to deliver performant, user-friendly tools

• Replace and integrate legacy systems into modern frameworks

• Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning, and design reviews

• Ensure code quality, testing, and adherence to SDLC standards

• Document workflows, data flows, and application components

• Analyze and troubleshoot production issues

• Collaborate closely with back-end and infrastructure teams

What You Bring

• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience

• Expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS, Node.js, REST/WebSockets

• Experience building scalable, distributed systems with high-volume data

• Understanding of software engineering best practices and agile development

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field

• Familiarity with trading, financial data, or front-office systems

Nice to Have

• Experience with OpenFin, Figma, or Angular

• Familiarity with Kubernetes or cloud environments

• Exposure to Fixed Income or multi-asset trading workflows

• Background in UI/UX design and component library development
