**Frontend GIS Developer**
**Location: Sofia, Bulgaria - hybrid (3 days/week in office)**
**Overview**
We are seeking a skilled Frontend GIS Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of advanced web‑based geospatial applications. This role involves working with modern JavaScript frameworks, mapping libraries, and GIS platforms to deliver high‑performance, interactive mapping solutions.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Design and develop web‑based GIS applications using React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
+ Integrate Google Maps API and other mapping services into web applications.
+ Implement Leaflet and OpenLayers for interactive map rendering and spatial data visualization.
+ Configure, maintain, and optimize GeoServer for serving geospatial data and map layers.
+ Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and cross‑browser compatibility.
+ Collaborate closely with backend teams to integrate APIs and geospatial services.
+ Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to GIS data, map rendering, and frontend performance.
**Required Skills & Qualifications**
+ Frontend Development: Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
+ Mapping Libraries: Hands‑on experience with Leaflet, OpenLayers, and Google Maps API.
+ GIS Platforms: Working knowledge of GeoServer for publishing and managing spatial datasets.
+ Web Services: Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON‑based data exchange.
+ Version Control: Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
+ Performance Optimization: Ability to optimize rendering and handling of large geospatial datasets.\#LI-SM3
