Full-Stack Engineer at Alexander Chapman

We’re representing a fast-growing, Y Combinator-backed startup that’s transforming the freight brokerage and logistics industry using cutting‑edge AI automation. We’re actively looking for a skilled Full‑Stack Engineer to join our core product team. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be working directly with the founding engineers, building and scaling features that power the AI platform.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing and building scalable, performant web applications with modern frontend and backend technologies
  • Developing backend APIs and services that support AI‑powered functionalities
  • Collaborating cross‑functionally to deliver impactful product features
  • Optimizing application performance and reliability
  • Participating in code reviews and maintaining strong engineering standards
  • Engaging with users for feedback to improve the product continuously
  • Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript, TailwindCSS
  • CI/CD, Git, Terraform

Who We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of professional full‑stack development experience
  • Strong expertise in React and Python (Flask or FastAPI preferred)
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS is a plus) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment with strong communication skills
  • Prior startup experience is beneficial but not mandatory
