Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Full-Stack Software Engineer (5–7 years experience) to join our Data &
Analytics engineering team. This team is responsible for designing and systems that centralize and streamline data for financial
institutions, investment managers, and asset managers.
The role will focus on building scalable backend services that power trade settlement, reconciliation, reporting,
compliance, and record-keeping, while integrating across internal financial systems and external APIs. The ideal
candidate combines deep on Python and React expertise, experience in distributed systems
design, and hands-on use of GenAI coding tools such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and
code quality.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend code for the Data &
    Analytics.
  • Build reliable integrations with internal and external financial systems using APIs and event-driven
    messaging.
  • Apply SOLID principles and best practices (DRY, KISS, YAGNI) in all designs and implementations.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with comprehensive unit tests.
  • Debug and profile applications to ensure performance and reliability at scale.
  • Utilize GenAI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development while exercising
  • Judgment on when AI-generated code is appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain modular, production-grade UIs using React and modern frameworks.
  • Build scalable component libraries leveraging frameworks like Material UI, ensuring consistency and reusability across applications.
  • Consume and integrate REST APIs securely and efficiently via API Gateway.
  • Implement robust state management solutions (Redux, Context API, or equivalents).
  • Write automated tests using frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright to ensure reliability and
    regression coverage.
  • Translate wireframes and designs into responsive, accessible, and performant UIs.
  • Utilize AI tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development cycles while applying judgment on
    quality and maintainability.

    Data & Analytics Domain Responsibilitie

  • Ensure data consistency and integrity across multiple asset classes and accounts.
  • Support scalable transaction processing to handle increasing trade and portfolio volumes.
  • Enhance reporting and compliance workflows through centralized, automated systems.
  • Deliver user-facing interfaces for Consolidated Back Office workflows including trade settlement,
    reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
  • Ensure scalability of UI architecture to support growing transaction volumes and complex data
    visualizations.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to optimize API-driven integrations for responsiveness and
    security.
  • Contribute to improving operational efficiency and user adoption by focusing on UX best practices.
    Distributed Systems & Design
  • Implement communication patterns like HTTP, gRPC, pub/sub, and sagas.
  • Ensure consistency and reliability in distributed workflows using eventual consistency, retries, and
    idempotency techniques.
  • Improve system observability and tracing (structured logging, correlation IDs, W3C Trace Context).
    Cloud & DevOps
  • Apply cloud-native design principles for scalability and resilience (Azure/AWS).
  • Partner with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
  • Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) practices.

    Collaboration & Problem-Solving

  • Engage in requirements refinement with product and operations teams, ensuring alignment with back-
    office workflows.
  • Clearly communicate design trade-offs and architectural decisions to stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation in back-office automation by leveraging modern tools and AI-assisted development.
  • Work closely with designers, product managers, and backend teams to refine requirements and deliver
    intuitive user experiences.
  • Provide input into UI/UX decisions, ensuring that front-end design aligns with CBO business goals.
  • Effectively communicate technical trade-offs, options, and solutions.

    • Requirements

  • 5–7 years of backend software engineering experience, ideally in financial systems or enterprise
    platforms.
  • Proficiency in .NET Core / C#Python and React, with expertise in dependency injection, async
    programming, authentication/authorization, caching, middleware, and hosted services.
  • Strong knowledge of unit testing frameworks and mocking strategies.
  • Hands-on experience in distributed system design, microservices, CAP theorem, and event-driven
    architectures.
  • Exposure to Consolidated Back Office, trading, or reconciliation systems is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Experience with GenAI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) in day-to-day development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

    • Education/Certifications

    · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred


    Language

    · Fluent in both spoken and written English
