What you’ll do
Design, develop, and scale core backend systems that support high-touch, concierge-style services. Build production-ready features using PHP (Laravel) and modern frontend frameworks. Translate business needs and user behavior into clean, scalable, and maintainable code. Work across multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate closely with product, operations, and leadership teams. Ship code frequently, receive real feedback, and continuously improve solutions. Act as a technical advisor, guiding best practices and architectural decisions. What we’re looking for
Core experience
5–7+ years of backend development (PHP-based). 5+ years of advanced experience with Laravel. Experience with ReactJS. Strong experience working with Linux servers and MySQL. Solid hands-on experience with AWS, including: EC2, S3, SQS CloudFormation VPC (public/private subnets, routing tables, NAT & Internet Gateways) Security Groups & ACLs Strong understanding of software design patterns. Experience working in Agile environments. Comfortable with Git/GitHub (branches, PRs, commits). Ability to manage multiple projects and solve complex technical challenges. Language requirement (mandatory)
Advanced / fluent English – written and spoken (C1 level or equivalent). You must be comfortable: Leading technical discussions in English Explaining architectural decisions Collaborating daily with US-based stakeholders This role requires daily, professional-level communication in English. (Spanish fluency is a strong plus.)

REST APIs and/or GraphQL APIs Vue.js Additional AWS services: Lambda, SNS CodeDeploy ECS (Fargate), ECR Experience with cross-browser testing and debugging Experience in travel or service-oriented platforms
