Role: Functional Consultant - Editorial Services

We are seeking a professional with 3-7 years of experience in peer review and manuscript submission systems such as Editorial Manager (EM) and ScholarOne.

The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between editorial operations and the technology team, contributing domain expertise to design, test, and optimize the submission and peer review platform.

Key Responsibilities 

1. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and editorial teams to define functional requirements


2. Provide insights based on prior experience with Editorial Manager, ScholarOne, or similar platforms to shape system features, workflows, and usability.


3. Translate editorial workflows into technical specifications for development.


4. Support user acceptance testing (UAT), identify gaps, and propose improvements.

 Required Qualifications  

1. 3 - 7 years of experience working with peer review systems such as Editorial Manager, ScholarOne, eJournalPress, or similar.


2. In-depth understanding of editorial workflows (submission, peer review, revisions, decision-making, production handover).


3. Ability to translate editorial/publishing needs into technical requirements.


4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
