As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will support learners closely who are undertaking Apprenticeship courses

Our client in Stoke on Trent is recruiting for a Functional Skills Tutor to deliver various training courses, focusing on Maths and English skills, in addition to Digital Skills and Employability Skills. As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will support learners closely who are undertaking Apprenticeship courses or individuals who are returning to work. A driving licence is essential for this role.

Duties for the Functional Skills Tutor will include:

  • Prepare and deliver Functional skills sessions for Maths, English and Digital Skills through in-centre programmes, by attending their workplaces and also through online courses
  • Conduct assessments to produce Individualised Learning Plans and then monitor the learner’s progress through regular reviews to ensure achievements are being met
