This opportunity sits within their expanding private equity offering, providing exposure to global private equity through premium fund vehicles across both open-ended and closed-ended structures. The role is well-suited to an ambitious accounting graduate or early-career professional seeking to develop deep technical and commercial skills within a dynamic finance team.

Position Overview
This is a full-time, permanent role based in the Sydney CBD. Working closely with senior finance professionals, the Fund Accountant will gain hands-on experience across fund accounting, reporting, cashflow management, tax, and investor support. The role offers strong career development, mentorship, and exposure to private markets investing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly fund reporting, including unit pricing and NAV reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date fund accounting records in coordination with external fund administrators and registry providers.
  • Support the preparation of investor reports and fund commentary for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with fund cashflow management, including capital calls, distributions, investor subscriptions, and redemptions.
  • Support tax-related obligations, including preparation of tax workings, liaison with external tax advisors, and preparation of investor tax reporting.
  • Assist with the annual audit process by preparing documentation and coordinating with external auditors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (investment, investor relations, legal/compliance) to ensure fund operations align with investment activity and regulatory obligations.
  • Respond to investor queries and information requests.
  • Contribute to process improvement and system enhancement initiatives within the finance function.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • A minimum distinction average at university, with a major in Accounting.
  • Prior accounting experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable working in a high-performance culture.
  • Dedicated, proactive, and able to demonstrate a “can-do” attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills.
