Fund Accountant - Job Description

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Fund Accountant for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Responsibilities

• Review and ensure financial statements are prepared accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and file T3 and T2 Returns in accordance with the Income Tax Act of Canada.
• Analyze the accounting and tax impact of complex corporate actions on funds.
• Calculate and analyze income and capital gains distributions for various funds.
• Calculate and analyze tax factor calculations for T3 unitholder filings.

Mandatory Skills

• Extensive comprehension of Canadian legislation and regulatory requirements.
• 3-5 years of experience in investment fund accounting and financial statement analysis. <...
