Fund Accounting Analyst – ADP Ventures
Location: Hyderabad
About the Role
ADP Ventures is seeking a Fund Accounting Analyst to support fund accounting and financial operations across its portfolio of venture investments. This role is well suited for an early-career professional with hands-on experience in fund accounting or fund administration who is looking to grow within a global investment and finance environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal finance teams, external administrators, and portfolio company stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and timely delivery of fund-level financial information.
What You’ll Do
Fund Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Support monthly and quarterly fund accounting processes, including NAV support, cash and position reconciliations, and expense accruals.
- Assist with calculation and review of management fees, performance fees, and capital activity.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for fund financial statements and internal reporting.
- Perform variance analysis and investigate differences across reporting periods.
Controls, Processes & Governance
- Maintain and follow fund accounting controls, checklists, and documented procedures.
- Support internal and external audit requests by providing accurate documentation and data.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements and standardization across portfolio reporting.
- Ensure strong audit trails and adherence to internal governance standards.
Stakeholder & Portfolio Support
- Coordinate with portfolio company finance teams and external service providers to collect and validate financial data.
- Support onboarding of new funds or portfolio entities from an accounting and reporting perspective.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests related to fund performance, expenses, and investor-level data.
Data & Systems
- Work with fund accounting systems and Excel-based models to manage and analyze financial data.
- Support preparation of summaries, dashboards, or management reporting materials.
- Assist with data integrity checks across systems and reports.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, or financial operations ideally from global fund administrators (Apex, IQ-EQ, Alter Domus TMF Group), ODD groups (Morgan Stanley GIMA ODD, Mercer Sentinel ODD) or captive VC funds.
- Exposure to alternative investments (venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, or similar).
- Working knowledge of:
- Fund accounting processes
- NAV support and reconciliations
- Fund expense and fee calculations
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in VC/PE fund administration.
- Familiarity with audit support, compliance reporting, or operational controls.
- Exposure to process documentation or reporting tools
- Progress toward professional qualifications (CA Inter, CPA, CFA, or equivalent) is a plus.
