Fund Manager (Hybrid)

Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Fund Manager to lead portfolio construction, execution, and reporting for our Category III AIF. The ideal candidate combines investment acumen with the ability to raise capital from HNIs/family offices/institutions, and brings strong investor relations capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management: Build and manage long/short equity and derivative strategies; oversee risk, liquidity, and exposure; drive alpha with disciplined processes.
Research & Strategy: Conduct fundamental/technical research; generate trade ideas; run backtests; monitor performance vs. benchmarks and risk limits.
Risk & Compliance: Adhere to SEBI/AIF regulations, internal risk frameworks, and audit/compliance requirements; maintain robust documentation and controls.
Fundraising: Originate, pitch, and close allocations from HNIs, family offices, wealth platforms, and institutions; manage the end-to-end fundraising pipeline.
Investor Relations: Deliver periodic updates (factsheets, commentary, attribution), handle queries, and support onboarding, DDQs, and distributor enablement.
Reporting & Analytics: Own performance measurement, attribution, and MIS; present insights to leadership and the investment committee.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with operations, compliance, RTA/custodian, and auditors to ensure smooth fund administration.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in fund management, buy-side research, prop trading, or portfolio management (Category III AIF, PMS, hedge fund, or equivalent).
NISM Series XIX-C certified/ appearing.
Demonstrated track record in capital raising or distribution-led closures with HNIs/family offices/institutions.
Strong grasp of equities and derivatives; comfort with risk metrics (Va R, drawdown, hit ratio, beta/alpha).
Proficiency in analytics/Excel; familiarity with Python/R backtesting is an advantage.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to convert complex insights into clear, investor-friendly narratives.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics/Engineering or related; advanced credentials (CFA/FRM/MBA) preferred.
Preferred Exposure
Prior experience in Investor Relations and distributor ecosystem management.
Knowledge of SEBI AIF regulations, compliance workflows, and audit-ready processes.
Experience with pre-IPO/alternatives and structured products is a plus.
Work Model & Travel
Hybrid role based in Noida with periodic travel for investor meetings, conferences, and distributor engagements.
