    • We are looking for a Gemstone Manufacturing Manager to lead end-to-end gemstone production, including cutting, polishing, grading, and calibration. The ideal candidate will improve yield, reduce rejection, enhance workflow efficiency, and ensure high-quality output aligned with business goals. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, deep gemstone expertise, and strong leadership.


    Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee complete gemstone production: cutting, polishing, grading, calibration, and quality control.

  • Improve yield, recovery %, and minimize cut loss through process optimization.

  • Drive system improvements, quality standards, and cost-efficient workflows.

  • Ensure compliance with industry and VGL quality guidelines.

  • Coordinate closely with buying, inventory, merchandising, and design teams.

  • Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate effectively.

  • Monitor production schedules, inventory levels, and maintain accurate records.

  • Train and supervise production staff to improve skills and productivity.

  • Identify and resolve production issues quickly to reduce downtime.

  • Align manufacturing decisions with final retail profitability and market needs.

    • Required Expertise & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of gemstone types, treatments, origins, and processing techniques.

  • Expertise in grading, calibration, cut-loss, recovery %, and quality parameters.

  • Leadership and team management ability with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Understanding of production planning, cost optimization, and inventory management.

  • Strong communication and decision-making skills.

  • Experience in vendor markets (India/Thailand/Africa/China preferred).
