Job Description

The General Accountant provides end-to-end accounting and payroll support for an established Australian architectural design firm. Working closely with the Sydney-based finance team, Principals, and Senior Associates, this role manages invoicing, project accounting, payroll preparation for approximately 60 staff, accounts payable, banking, and month‑end activities. The position requires strong English communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting project teams and multiple cost centres within the business.

Invoicing & Revenue

  • Prepare monthly progress invoices in line with project billing schedules.
  • Manage the full invoicing cycle, including supporting documents, revisions, and follow‑up.
  • Maintain invoice registers and generate debtor reports.
  • Support quarterly revenue reconciliations.
