POSITION TYPE FULL-TIME

The Position

As our General Construction Labourer you will be an essential part of our team by supporting the successful delivery of our projects. You will work under the direction of the Site Superintendent.


Responsibilities

  • Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas

  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment

  • Erect and dismantle fencing, ramps, catwalks, and barricades required at sites

  • Prepare work areas for subtrades

  • Assist in rebar placing, tying and erection of form work for concrete placement

  • Physical endurance being able to lift 50lbs at a time

  • Basic knowledge and cooperation of safety requirements and PPE

  • Must be willing to work in variable climatic conditions

    • Qualifications & Skills

  • Reliable, hardworking team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively

  • 2 years of general labourer experience in the construction industry considered an asset, but not required

  • Must provide own steel toed boots and hard hat

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.

  • Ability to work in all weather conditions

  • Physically capable of performing all duties as assigned (which may include lifting up to 50 lbs)
