General farmhand

We are looking for two enthusiastic, energetic, and hardworking people to join our team. We have a 450 acre almond orchard near the River Murray at Walker Flat. We have a requirement for a general farmhand, and a farmhand with a focus on irrigation.

The roles will suit someone who is punctual, can put in a solid day's work, and can use initiative. Someone who takes pride in doing things properly, can think on their feet and keep their sense of humour when the pressure's on.

About the roles -

Monitoring and maintaining our drip irrigation system, including cleaning and flushing irrigation lines, pressure checking, and repairs as needed;

Fulltime work, in all weather conditions, including daytime temperatures up to 38C;

Some nighttime and weekend work will be required. Opportunities for overtime included;

Nighttime and weekend work will occur on an occasional basis;
