Overview:
The main responsibility of the GL - Senior Accountant will be month end close processes, including analysis, reconciliation and internal audit type functions. The GL - Senior Accountant will also contribute to process improvements and other duties as assigned.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct P&L Reviews and prepare schedules to show vendor by vendor fluctuations.
- Improve efficiencies for various journal entry areas.
- Create thorough monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in reviewing new leases to determine capitalizable costs.
- Prepare various journal entries for month-end close.
- Review journal entries for the close process.
- Create quarterly schedules for financial reporting purposes.
- Review purchase orders for appropriate coding.
- Collaborate with FP&A to ensure forecast/plan accurately match latest information regarding P&L trends.
- Assist with providing support to external auditors
