General Maintenance Technician

Perform a variety of general skilled work, including but not limited to basic plumbing, air conditioning, electrical, painting, and carpentry skills, for the repair and preventive maintenance of College buildings and facilities (primarily student housing facilities). The employee will receive, prioritize, and respond to service requests and work orders in a timely and efficient manner; oversee outside contractors and vendors; and maintain records of time, materials, and resources in accordance with established procedures. Florida Institute of Technology is a growing, top-ranked university with over 2,000,000 square feet of facilities to maintain. Working hours Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with occasional overtime. The employee may be required to work alternate shifts or weekends and will be expected to participate in the Facilities Operations On-Call program.
