General Manager

Job Title: General Manager – Edible Oils (Sunflower Oil Production)

Location: Dodoma, Tanzania

Industry: Edible Oils / Sunflower Oil Production

Experience Required: 10–15 years (minimum 5 years in a Senior Leadership Role)

Position Overview :

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead overall business operations for our Edible Oils division . The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Production , along with solid technical knowledge of edible oil manufacturing processes .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall plant operations for the Edible Oils business
• Oversee Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial functions
• Drive profitability, cost optimization, and operational efficiency
• Review and analyze financial performance, budgets, and MIS reports
• Ensure smooth functioning of procurement, inventory, and logistics
• Implement best practices in production planning and process control
• Ensure statutory, safety, and quality compliance
• Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams
• Coordinate with senior management and contribute to strategic decisions
• Monitor KPIs and ensure achievement of business targets

Required Experience & Skills

• 10–15 years of total experience, including minimum 5 years in a senior/leadership role
• Strong working knowledge of the Edible Oils industry and production processes
• Hands-on experience in Finance, Costing, and P&L management
• Proven expertise in Supply Chain Management (procurement, warehousing, logistics)
• Experience managing large teams and multi-department operations
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Business Management, or a related field
• MBA/Advanced Management qualification will be an added advantage
