Executive leadership with purpose

Saint Nicholas Aged Care is a not-for-profit, 72-bed residential aged care service in Brisbane’s inner west. We provide a home grounded in an Orthodox Christian ethos, where elders are supported to live with dignity, cultural connection and quality of life

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to provide strong executive leadership, ensuring excellence in care, operational performance and long-term sustainability.

The role

Reporting to the Board, the General Manager has full accountability for the leadership and performance of the service. You will translate strategic direction into effective operations while fostering a culture of respect, professionalism and compassion.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Overall leadership, culture and organisational performance
  • Quality of care, resident experience and clinical governance oversight
  • Regulatory compliance, accreditation and risk management
  • Financial management, budgeting and sustainability
  • Workforce leadership, capability and engagement
  • Governance, reporting and constructive Board engagement

About you

You are a capable and credible senior leader with a proven track record in residential aged care or a related human services environment. You combine sound commercial judgement with a strong commitment to person-centred care.

Senior leadership experience in aged care, health or human services

Demonstrated success managing a residential aged care facility

Strong knowledge of aged care regulation and quality standards

Financial and operational leadership capability

Experience working with Boards and governance frameworks

Clear, confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Tertiary qualifications in health, management or business

Experience in not-for-profit or faith-based organisations
