Wework closely with theprimaryhealthcaresystem, identifying opportunitiesto improve healthoutcomes in Gippsland communities. We dothisthrough healthsystemimprovementprograms, and by commissioning servicesto address local healthneeds viaour regional commissioningrole.

We aimto:

• Ensure healthissues are prioritised,understoodand invested in; using localstrengths;
• Build andsupport local capability in primary healthcare professionals;
• Enable transparent communicationandinformationexchange acrossthe primaryhealthcare sector;and
• Improveaccess in primary health services particularlyfor thoseat riskof poor health outcomes, and where gapsexist in hardtoreach locations.
