Role & responsibilities
This role demands cross-functional leadership, technical acumen, and a deep understanding of fabrication processes for Containers, E-houses and other Specialised ISO/Non-ISO products.
17+ years in the field of Design & NPD in heavy fabrication or modular infrastructure product development.
Proficiency in CAD tools (Creo, Catia, Auto CAD) and FEA.
Strong understanding of Heavy fabrication, Containers, Integration, and manufacturability.
Working knowledge of ISO 668/1496 standards for container dimensions and specifications.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design & Engineering.
2. New Product Development (NPD).
3. Customer communication.
4. Business Development Support.
5. Vendor Development. Costing.
6. Value addition & Value engineering (VAVE), Product Testing.
Responsible for ensuring all Design and NPD meet requirements from the initial planning phase to implementation.
Understanding customer requirements.
Prepare conceptual drawing and take first cut approval.
Prepare BOM/BOQ, Costing and Quotation.
Prototype plan (Gantt chart).
GA Drawing for customer/certification agency approval, Technical datasheet. Finding vendors for new requirements.
Coordination with Testing agencies.
Prototype manufacturing and validation.
Container CSC testing and approval as per ISO 1496 standard.
Handover to production, Identifies training and development needs and provides the resources needed to develop team members.
Improving existing products in terms of ease of manufacturing processes and cost innovation.
Develop concept for fixtures to manufacture the Sub-assy modules or new prototypes and series production.
Responsible for reviewing the drawings released from the Engineering department.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including personnel in Quality Control, Marketing, Purchasing, Operations, and Finance on new product development and to resolve part/product technical and commercial issues.
Knowledge sharing about the latest technology and discussing how to implement/integrate into our Projects
