**What's the role?**
The General Manager, Engineering plays a pivotal role in shaping the technology foundations behind some of Australia’s most recognised news websites, digital products, and print publications. You’ll lead the engineering functions that build, maintain, and optimise our platforms—driving performance, scalability, cloud efficiency, technical excellence, and innovation across the business.
You’ll oversee four Lead Engineers, ensuring all engineering outputs align with agreed standards, design patterns, and best-practice guidelines. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to operate as both a strategic leader and a hands-on technical guide—setting clear engineering principles, uplifting quality, and strengthening our community of practice.
