We are looking for a General Manager for METT Barcelona and Casa METT Sitges (new opening) , who will oversee the overall operations and management of both hotels, ensuring that all functions run smoothly and efficiently.


Main responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotels, to day-to-day staff management and guests, ensuring alignment with the brand’s high luxury standards.
  • Provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure full compliance to Hotels operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel's annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan.
  • Implements and enforces standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain high levels of service quality across all departments (Rooms, Spa, administrative areas) and enforces brand quality standards as directed by F&B division.
  • Manage on-going profitability of the hotels, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
  • Management of P&L statements.
  • Overseeing and managing all departments and working closely with department heads on a daily basis.
  • Corporate and luxury client handling, and take part in new client acquisition along with the sales team whenever required.
  • Work closely with owners, Sunset Hotels executives, F&B Division and Sunset executives from functional areas.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in hotel management, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role (preferably with international luxury hotels)
  • Good understanding of the Barcelona and Sitges market and local hospitality landscape.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple properties or overseeing large hotel operations
  • Leadership and good communication skills.
  • Experience with P&L
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (other languages are a plus).
  • Outstanding management skills and extensive hands-on experience.
  • Experience in opening, managing or re-positioning a hotel with clear track record.
  • In-depth knowledge of hotel management, including Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, F&B, Housekeeping and Maintenance.
  • Excellent computer system skills.
