Reports To: Board of Directors (dotted line to Managing Director)
Overview
Role: Overall responsibility for strategy, operations, assets, and P&L of the company’s industrial solar salt business in Tanzania, including salt fields, processing facilities, and domestic/export operations.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute business strategy aligned with the Board
- Full ownership of operations, infrastructure, manufacturing, and asset performance
- Lead through site GM with strong governance and regular on-site reviews
- Provide strategic oversight to sales, pricing, and market expansion (domestic & export)
- Ensure regulatory compliance, risk management, and asset protection
- Build and lead senior teams; manage regulators, customers, financiers, and local stakeholders
Qualifications
- Engineering degree (Chemical preferred); MBA preferred
