Australian healthcare group Lumia Care has expanded its reach to South Australia with acquisition of highly respected provider Pop Up Health, adding 330 nurses and care workers to Lumia’s national healthcare, aged care and allied services network.

The Role:

Lumia Care is a leading provider of community-based healthcare and support services, committed to delivering excellence through compassion, innovation and integrity. We are seeking an accomplished and visionary General Manager – South Australia to lead our South Australian portion of the business through a period of strategic growth and organisational transformation.

Reporting to the Executive Team, the General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across all South Australian programs under the Lumia Care banner. This role will be pivotal in driving high-quality, client-centred service delivery, financial sustainability, workforce capability, and compliance with regulatory standards.

As part of a national framework, you will play a critical role in guiding the integration of Pop Up Health into Lumia Care’s systems, governance frameworks and culture – ensuring a seamless transition that supports long‑term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate Lumia Care’s strategic vision into operational excellence across South Australia.
  • Provide strong, valued based leadership to foster accountability, innovation and collaboration.
  • Oversee all operational, financial, and workforce management functions to ensure performance and sustainability.
  • Lead change management initiatives to support growth and integration into Lumia Care platforms.
  • Maintain robust governance and compliance across clinical, financial, and operational domains.
  • Build and strengthen partnerships with government, community and sector stakeholders.
  • Champion a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

About You:

You are a dynamic and strategic leader with a track record of success in complex, multi‑site health or community service environments. You demonstrate exceptional commercial acumen, operational oversight, and the ability to lead through change with clarity and purpose.

You will bring:

  • Extensive senior leadership experience within healthcare, aged care or community services.
  • Proven capability in organisational transformation, growth and change leadership.
  • Strong financial management, governance, and business development expertise.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks within community or clinical care.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health, Business, Management, or a related discipline (highly regarded).
