General Practitioner (GP)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Salaried GP to join the welcoming and well‑established team at Presteigne Medical Centre, part of the Shropdoc family. This is more than a clinical role, it's an opportunity to shape new models of rural primary care and make a real impact on local communities.

The successful post-holder will work as a salaried GP providing primary care for approximately 3,600 patients. Presteigne is part of the Mid‑Powys Primary Care Cluster, which has a combined list size of around 31,000 patients.

Main duties of the job

Job responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality clinical care via consultations, triage, and home visits.
• Manage long-term conditions and supervise clinical staff.
• Prescribe in line with local and national guidance.
