General Practitioner - out of hours

Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP New Hall, a female closed prison based near Wakefield. HMP New Hall houses approximately 320 patients aged between 18-75 years of age. Within this role you will be delivering out of hours reception clinics for the new intake of patients. This will involve prescribing same‑day medications, supporting acute illness and injury, as well as creating detox plans for alcohol and opiates misuse. You will work closely with the multi‑disciplinary team, particularly nursing, pharmacy and substance misuse teams.

Hours

Monday and Tuesday, 16:00‑20:00 or 17:00‑21:00. We are looking for 1 or 2 GPs to complete these sessions.

Salary

Part‑time position. Annual salary up to £129,500 per annum FTE, depending on experience.
