General Practitioner Team Lead

Position Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Practitioner to take the next step and expand their skills by moving into a clinical leadership role as the practice’s Lead GP.

As well as maintaining your own patient load you will:

• Provide clinical guidance and leadership to our doctors.
• Conduct teaching, mentor and supervise our registrars, interns and medical students.
• Drive our accreditation and our practice and quality improvement processes.
• Recruit and orientate new clinical staff.
• Build strong relationships with external providers.
• As the Lead GP, you will provide strong clinical governance to ensure a high standard of medical care is maintained.
• Provide mentoring education and support to the medical workforce.
• Provide much needed appointments to the community by stepping in to a busy and fully booked GP clinic.
