General Service Worker

RESPONSIBILITIES

: The General Service Worker performs any combination of duties required to meet the needs and demands of the University Facilities Management. These duties include garbage collection, freight deliveries, moving furniture and equipment, setting up for special events and any other duties assigned by supervisor. The General Service Worker operates equipment and maintains campus grounds by performing a combination of tasks necessary in order to provide for an attractive and safe campus setting.
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED equivalent or four years of general work experience. Valid Kentucky Driver License.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Additional experience in an academic setting is desirable. Experience in moving furniture and equipment and general maintenance. Experience in use of grounds equipment, insecticides, and fertilizers. Demonstrated ability to operate various equipment such as tractors, backhoes, skid steers...
