Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Perform minor mechanical repairs to ensure proper performance and safety of District generators. Work on projects assigned, follow established procedures.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Inspect service and repair all generators as needed or on scheduled intervals.

  • Maintain complete set of preventative maintenance records on all generators.

  • Record time (labor) and material on work orders.

  • Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.

  • Minimal work on Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) such as identifying gear position from the outside.

  • Follow established safety procedures such as securing assistance from the licensed electrician for Lock Out Tag Out and other techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc.
