Geologist 4

Under general supervision, performs basic to high complexity geologic/ seismic evaluations/fault rupture hazard and slope stability investigations /hydrogeologic analysis (aquifer test analysis; geochemical analysis; geotechnical analysis; contaminant transport analysis etc.) in both surface and subsurface geologic conditions pertaining to water supply, contaminant and/or geotechnical assessments. Activities may include subsurface geologic formation logging, water sampling, surface geological mapping, aquifer testing and/or soils characterization. Prepares cross sections, Isoconcentration maps ,workplans, technical reports, specifications and/or QA/QC analysis. Develops draft and final reports, evaluations and calculations for compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all assessments.
