Job Description

▪ Lead geological and geotechnical investigations for dams, tunnels, surge shafts, and underground caverns.

▪ Should be well versed with RMR and Q-system for rock mass classification.

▪ Provide construction-phase geological support, including face mapping, rock mass classification, and excavation recommendations.

▪ Prepare and review geological reports, drawings, and cross-sections for design validation and regulatory compliance.

▪ Well versed with software viz. MS Office, AutoCAD, DIPS.

▪ Assess geological hazards such as slope instability, fault zones, and groundwater inflow.

▪ Supervise drilling, core logging, and in-situ testing during site investigations.

▪ Monitor geological conditions during excavation and suggest mitigation measures.

▪ Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across design engineering centers and construction sites.

▪ Continuously monitor construction methods on-site and adjust as necessary after discussion with team to resolve challenges, improve efficiency, or address unforeseen issues.

▪ Participate in tender preparation within defined deadlines, understanding customer requirements, preparing presentations.

▪ Periodic site visits for discussion & co-ordination with the project team.

▪ Interaction with relevant vendors and evaluation of their technical proposals.

•Excellent communication and technical documentation skills

•Keep a record of construction process changes and lessons learned from practical experience

•Maintain comprehensive records of document & drawing revisions, approvals, and any changes to the project scope.

•Prepare technical reports, including site assessments, and post-project analysis.
