German Teacher at Studienkolleg

Berlin International College is a private Studienkolleg. We prepare international students without direct university entrance qualification (HZB) in language and subject-specific courses and thereby enable them to study at German universities. For our current Bachelor Prep Program in the English language, we are looking for teachers to teach supplemental German language courses.

Tasks

You will be preparing the students for university studies in Germany by teaching them the German language.

Subjects:

German language levels A1 - A2

Timeframe: 26 January 2026 - 31. Jul 2026

Hours: 6 - 30 teaching units (á 45 mins.) per week

Class times: Tuesdays (on-site) and Saturdays (online)

Mode of classes: On-site / Online

Language of instruction: German

Type of employment: Freelance (for non EU citizens a freelance visa is requirement)

Requirements

You are a good fit if you ...

• would like to work as a freelance teacher.


• have strong German proficiency (C1).


• have at least one year teaching experience with groups of at least 5 students.


• have intercultural experience (advantage).


• have a work permit for Germany.


• have specific pedagogical training such as DaF/DaZ or DLL.


• are located in Berlin.
