Job Description – Legal Counsel (Non-Litigation) | NBFC & Fintech

Qualification: LLB (LLM Preferred)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel with a Non-Litigation (70%) focus to manage legal, contractual, and regulatory matters for our NBFC and Fintech operations. The role involves providing strategic legal advice, drafting agreements, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a dynamic financial ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate loan, vendor, SaaS, and partnership agreements.

• Provide legal advisory on digital lending, co-lending, securitization, and debt instruments.

• Ensure compliance with RBI, KYC/AML, and digital lending guidelines.

• Draft internal legal policies, SOPs, and review operational documentation.

• Support regulatory inspections, compliance audits, and data privacy matters.

• Handle non-litigation legal support, dispute resolution strategies, and risk assessment.

• Liaise with external counsel for litigation follow-ups (as required).

Requirements:

• LLB (LLM preferred) with 4+ years in NBFC/Fintech/Financial Services.

• Strong understanding of RBI norms, Fintech compliance, and contract law.

• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.

• Ability to work cross-functionally with business, compliance, and finance teams.
