Your Opportunity

We are looking for a replacement for two weeks (full-time) for the GIS Analyst position with the potential option to work part-time in the future.




Summary:

Extensive working knowledge of ArcMap 10 and ArcGIS online and at least one to two years work experience is essential.




What you will be doing


Analyze spatial data from different data sources (aerials, dxf, shape files) to ensure effective and timely delivery of fauna, flora and habitat maps


Create maps in ArcMap 10.7 showing surveyed flora and fauna using aerial photographs as well as GPS data


Collect and import client’s data (development footprints (dxf) and aerial photographs)


Provide spatial analysis of map data (area calculations, intersection, overlays, buffers, etc)


Prepare spatial data for clients and Department of Environment


Data management and filing systems




To be eligible for this role, you must have


Strong knowledge of ArcMap 10 and ArcGIS


Experience with ArcPro (optional)


An ability to provide innovative solutions to spatial challenges


Attention to detail, especially regarding the content and layout of maps


Team orientated approach
