Sound Transit to provide laptop General Summary: The Sound Transit Data & Information Services team is seeking to hire a temporary GIS Analyst for a -month project focused on creating Agency asset records within GIS. This role will collaborate with the EAMS and CAD teams to prioritize and convert key assets by transforming CAD data into GIS format. Additionally, the position will support data visualization of infrastructure inspection records in both GIS and SQL databases, utilizing ARCGIS Enterprise and PowerBI. Essential Functions:
  • Conduct GIS data development
  • Conduct data conversion from CAD files to GIS Assets
  • Conduct GIS data analysis
  • Create GIS map
  • Create GIS Dashboards
  • Create PowerBI Dashboards

  • Special / Additional Qualifications (Over Role/ Category Level) Education & Experience: Bachelor's, or graduate degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a relevant four-year certificate/experience Required Licenses or Certifications: None Specific Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Working knowledge of the principles of spatial data
  • Working knowledge of the principles of Geographic Information Systems
  • Working knowledge of ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro software
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS Online
  • Working knowledge of GIS analysis
  • Working knowledge of GIS cartography

  • Working knowledge of Python
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS Model Builder
  • Working knowledge AutoCAD software
  • Working knowledge PowerBI
  • Physical Demands/Work Environment:
  • Work will be performed in a standard office environment and via a remote office.
