    Our client is responsible to setting the strategic direction and guiding extended network of public and private service delivery agencies to deliver improved transport outcomes.

    About the role

    Our client is looking for a GIS Analyst with developer skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking the lead in analysing GIS Data & Systems and provide improvements to Senior Management. The role will support management, coordination and analysis of the Transport Management Centre’s and Operational System’s GIS databases, systems and stakeholder management including GIS support.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse GIS Data & Systems and provide continuous improvement reports
  • Utilise GIS, BI software (such as Tableau, SAP Business Objects)
  • Create, maintain and manage spatial data
  • Analyse, interpret and present spatial data
  • Provide GIS development, integration and data modelling input and guidance to stakeholders, program and projects
  • Utilise ArcGIS online and mobile applications
  • Report directly to Spatial Systems Manager and support the Manager in all aspects of GIS requirements
  • Keeping up with changes in technology and building transport network information models

    • Skills/Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
  • Highly experienced in data collection, management, validation, cleansing and preparation (office and/or field-based)
  • ArcGIS Platform expertise (such as Desktop Pro, Online, Apps, ArcCatalog, ArcSDE, mobile GIS solutions and ArcGIS Server)
  • Advanced knowledge of ETL (such as FME) software, BI tools (Tableau, SAP Business Objects) working with API’s
  • Expert knowledge of spatial data modelling and database design as well as experience with database development, SQL (spatial and non-spatial queries) and Spatial Services.
  • Experience with developing/enhancing GIS Applications using JavaScript, Python and other relevant languages
